The Health Insurance Portability & Accountability Act
In 1996 “The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act” (HIPAA) was enacted by the U.S. Congress. The act was instated primarily to protect health insurance coverage for workers and their respective families when their is a loss or change of employment.
