Having asked God ~ in the Name of His son, Jesus ~ for wisdom and insight, I begin the work of resolving some of my own theological conflicts. I feel, my developing spiritual understandings, some of Gods knowledge ~ that He has graciously shared with me ~ may be of interest to some others who seek to remove the denominational barriers dividing many of us. With utmost humility, some trepidation, and limited formal education, I embark, accepting this self~assigned task.
Pass It On – The Three Golden Gates
Someone once told me that if you found something good to say that you should never be afraid to repeat it. Men will quote Bible long after Im gone and the words of people like Abraham Lincoln or George Washington will be repeated countless times but no one will say when its time to quit repeating their sayings. Such words are never put to rest they are only passed on to others, they belong to humanity they are legacy and wisdom and will never cease to salt the earth. Here are some of the best words I have heard in my brief stay on this old planet.
The Passing of Liu Zhirong
Why is it that much of the world, despite the excellent documentation, continually fails to recognize this as a major problem? Is it the lure of big business? Is it that China seems too far away to make a difference to us? Hasn’t history adequately demonstrated that what we ignore ends up on our back porch sooner or later?
The Motivation Of Second Half Thinking
Football matches are won or lost in the second half. It does not matter what code of football is being played, and it does not only apply to football. It is how you finish that counts in any sport or competition or campaign. It applies to your life. Look at your life as one complete match or look at your current circumstance and assess where you are in terms of the half time break and begin now to strategize the finish.

Near Life Experience
Every difficulty in life presents us with an opportunity to turn inward and to invoke our own submerged inner resources. The trials we endure can and should introduce us to our strengths. – Epictetus, Greek Stoic philosopher (55 AD 135 AD)
Gift-Giving: Your Expertise And Wisdom
As a child I was taught the age-old wisdom, “If you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything at all.” Once I entered public schools, being the overly-sensitive child which I was, I had to quickly learn the defensive protection of “Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me.” Truth be told, however, many of my less-sensitive schoolmates’ words did hurt–I just learned to act as if they didn’t. Thus, I began to wear a mask and keep my feelings inside…
Detours On The Path Of Life
The other day I was clearing out my home office in preparation for our upcoming move, when I stumbled upon a box of supplies left over from an old business opportunity I had undertaken several years ago. It was a perfectly fine business opportunity, but it wasn’t for me. Looking back, I knew even then that it wasn’t right for me, but I had determinedly ignored my inner voice and pursued it anyway.
The Varieties of Wisdom
There are several varieties or “flavors” of personal wisdom. Here, Copthorne Macdonald discusses three of them as well as the back-and-forth relationship between personal wisdom and socio-cultural wisdom.
Like A Fine Wine, Instinct Develops With Age
In your twenties, going with your gut instinct had you dirty-dancing with your boss, drunk-dialing your ex and cutting your own fringe. Turns out, like a fine wine, your instincts get better with age. Sometimes its easy to act on impulse..
Beyond the Work-Life Balance
Much has been written about finding a harmonious balance between work and life, and this article does not intend to discredit any of it. It is essential to strike a balance between the professional and personal. True success is multidimensional, and if you focus exclusively on work your personal life suffers, and vice versa. Limiting your perspective of success to the two dimensions of work and personal life can lead to a lack of balance within both professional and personal success. To separate life and work into disparate entities misses the point of true success.
